The paintings in this series are based on astral visions I had, usually during hypnopompic or hypnagogic states, astral visions during meditation, supraconscious dreams (astral travel dreams) or spontaneous real time astral visions during eyes-wide-open contemplation (viewing the astral body of real life objects or beings).
While painting these astral visions, I try to convey the mental image of what I saw, realistically, and it usually has an ineffable, essential vibe about it, there is always something untouchable, translucent, stripped of matter, yet rich in it, it's so hard to describe in words. It IS a virtual world.
