A Master Instructing His Disciple
All the mighty teachers: Chiron, Jupiter and Saturn are here to help, in that moment of darkness. Moon embracing Sun are both hugging Chiron, and with Virgo Jupiter from the other side, the wound of the soul (Psyche and Pisces) is exposed, no where to hide it, under the scrutiny of headmaster Saturn in Sagittarius and stormy, radical, transformative energetic help in the background from the Cardinal Pluto/Uranus square. It's open now. It will hurt. But this pain is power: the lesson is learned. The healing process begins.
The Yod is a rare astrological aspect that involves any three planets or points in the chart that form an isosceles triangle, and Yods can be formed within several Harmonics, such as the Biquintile Yod or the Quindecile Yod, but these thoughts are about the 6th/12th Harmonic geometrical structure, the classic Yod formed by two Quincunxes connected through a Sextile.
Supermoon Eclipse for my location
Major theme: the shadow of Earth (impulse for manifestation, what is fruit, but also what lies underneath, gestating in the ground)- Umbra - caused by the Sun (awareness, individuality, life force, promise of manifestation) momentarily "blinds" our old emotional patterns and needs - the Moon - and at the same time puts the Moon in a new "red light": our imperative true emotions and needs in relationships are resurfacing now.
Full Moons are relational anyway, and so is Priapus (perigee), "joining " the Moon astrologically, but this time, multiple markers are aligned to signal this focus on relationships: the Eclipse happens on Aries/Libra axis, with the Sun in Libra conjunct North Node and about to combust with Mercury retrograde on 30th September, receiving important outer energy connected with enlightenment, expansion, the pursuit of happiness.
The Taurus (2nd) vs. Scorpio (8th) dance of polarities.
Full body sensuality vs. internalized, emotionally consuming sensuality.
Hedonism vs. Sex as a multi-dimensional experience.
- our basic physical needs in sex, basic approach and sensuality, our body as a sexual object, for ourselves and the others (it was, in a way, defined as the house of...well pleasuring oneself), our libido
- physical preferences when it comes to sex, perhaps some erogenous zones, perhaps some clues on our body type
- the tangible sexual allure of our body, our "assets", our "talents" when it comes to sex
- it's probably active in a simple affair where our sole purpose is physical pleasure
- our sexual set of values
The interesting part about this New Moon is the Tree Gate it creates. The Moon happens very early on the 25 degree, 25.07, so it makes this connection from Sabian 24-25 to Sabian 25-26; both Sabians carry a tree symbolism.
24-25 deg Gemini
A Gardener Trimming Large Palm Trees
25-26 deg Gemini
Frost-Covered Trees Against Winter Skies
Gemini, with its Mercurial qualities, is a variety vs. selection sign. With the quality of intelligence, mental processes are aiming for quintessence. One definition for intelligence would be the ability to select the best solution, the best path, out of an input of variables. Here we have the action of “trimming” in the first Sabian, and reaching the essential (the bare skeletons of winter trees) in the next.
The solution is this narrow middle path, between the two antagonistic trees: a tree of the desert, a frosted tree in winter. Think of Boaz and Jachin, black and white, unflinching. But the path, as Gemini knows, is intelligently slipping between those, and standing on the threshold, for a while. Gemini, a master of acrobatics on thresholds.
This New Moon, a harbinger of seed sowing, encourages us to trim our thoughts and plans, ourselves, and to find the most enduring seed, one for the long future, then to take the narrow and secret Tree Path and plant it right beneath the Gate.
Apollo and Daphne, 2009
We've all known it or will experience it, in one form or another, at some point. It’s an important part of our initiation in the labyrinth of love.
A few non-astrological considerations...
It seems to me there's almost always a connection between UNREQUITED and UNATTAINABLE.
BUT, what is the astrological recipe for unrequited love?
A moment of total darkness, a breathtaking moment when breath stops, the turning point. Every new Moon reminds us of it, but this time, both Sun and Moon, our luminaries, stopped in darkness, with a Moon as close to us as possible (perigee), and it all happened on the last degree of the zodiac, the marker of the first season, the marker before 0 Aries, activated tomorrow, the beginning of all beginnings.
However, in the context of the other powerful astrological configurations of the previous weeks, the most notable being the release of the ultimate change bringer, the Uranus/Pluto square, remember this new beginning has been prepared for each of us for a long time. It is not a beginning when you just step into the unknown, unprepared. You actually may step now on the road to something you've been known for a long time you must go to: the road home, which is the real you. For those who are ready to be themselves, this is the moment!
One of the key factors identified in a really good synastry, either for romantic relationships or friendships/other significant relationships is the mutual completion of the geometric aspect patterns in synastry. After an intensive research, I consider pattern completion a major ingredient for a soulmate synastry. Here are the major geometric aspect patterns:
How does this work?
I am very happy to announce I was visited by the (not so) humble Honeybee at the inauguration of this blog, so the Bee is the first guide we will try to understand, when coming up in your dreams.
Keywords for the Bee:
- Accomplishing the impossible. Aerodynamically speaking, the Bee shouldn’t fly, due to its heavy body compared to its wing span, but it does by the high speed of its wings flapping.
- Love. Connected to the hexagon, a geometrical love principle, cooperation and interdependency. Related to Kama, the God of Love.
- Honey. The nectar, the treasure, the alchemical gold, the quintessence. Think of all alchemical processes and the Temperance Tarot card. Also related to the Sun – solar energy, nectar, reward, honey as liquid light.
